Service Description

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or Microneedling, is one of the most popular and successful treatments in combating aging skin, ice pick scarring issues, and improving overall skin texture. The skin is numbed with a topical anesthetic prior to beginning the treatment. The surgical grade sterile microneedles go beyond the epidermis into the dermis. Microneedling triggers the body’s natural healing process by causing pin-point bleeding and stimulating fibroblasts in the dermis, which promotes collagen production. This results in new organized collagen and elastin in the dermal layer and retexturizing of the epidermis. Throughout the procedure, the skin is saturated with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and promote healing. Clients can expect their skin to have a slight “sun burned” appearance, which can last up to 48 hours. For optimal results, a series of treatments are performed spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The number of treatments is determined by your skin therapist depending on the severity of your concerns. Please note that CIT is not suitable for clients experiencing active acne, as there is a potential to puncture the papules and pustules resulting in a spread of bacteria and further irritation and inflammation. Treated Conditions: Acne scars Lines and wrinkles Sagging skin Uneven skin tone or complexion Looking tired, old, or stressed Texture
